{6 Months}

Our precious baby girl is 6 months old!
She is getting bigger and bigger by the day and we can't believe how many new things she has learned just in the last 4 weeks. Some of her favorite things now are:

*Tickles from daddy
*Sleeping on her belly...still!
*Rolling on to her belly every chance she gets (tummy time isn't the worst any longer)
*Bath time! It's still her favorite thing in the world.
*Being "worn" by mom. We LOVE our Solly Baby Wrap
*EATING! Bananas are our most favorite!

C has started eating solid foods this month now that she is 6 months old, and she surprisingly loves them! Girl can eat and eat and eat! She loves to try new things, and even if she doesn't like the taste of something she will still ask for more since she loves the act of eating so much. It's fun to see her try new things and become a big girl. We are working on crawling and I'm sure she will get the hang of it before we know it! She can also sit up if we put her in an upright position and hold it for a good long while! Girls got some great core strength ;)

Christmas In...October?

It's finally fall and you know what, I'm skipping right to winter and talking about Christmas! I figured you guys would forgive me because, who doesn't love Christmas?

I will be the first to admit that I get really wrapped up in the thought of getting and giving "things" for Christmas. I feel like the holidays are mostly spent running around looking for that perfect gift for those you love, or spent anticipating what you might be getting in return. I feel we often lose sight of the real reason of Christmas and get so caught up with the materialistic part of it. To be honest it's just down right exhausting and I'm tired of it.

This leads me to something new we are going to try out this holiday season. We will each be giving one another four gifts. Yup, four gifts total:

I had seen this idea floating around online last fall and really really loved it! Now that C is with us, and this will be her first Christmas, I figured what better time to start a new Christmas tradition? I know it's going to be REALLY hard to stick to this four gifts thing, especially with a precious little babe I want to spoil rotten. That's the main reason I'm sharing this with you all, in the hopes that you will hold me accountable as December 25th draws closer! I want us to try and focus on the whole reason of the holidays, spending time with those you love and celebrating the birth of our savior. We can't wait to celebrate all the fun things that fall and winter bring and hopefully narrowing our gift list for one another will help us keep focused on what's most important :)
